Matt and Laura
Each wedding is so memorable for so many different reasons. Matt and Laura were my first wedding in the rain. Thankfully they chose a beautiful church (that both her mother and grandmother were married in) with lots of overhangs and covered walkways so we could still take some beautiful natural light pictures. We also got to sit in a balcony with strict orders that only natural light photographs would be allowed. Oh the sweat that went off my brow, but again this beautiful chapel had some amazing windows that allowed for some great pictures even from a distance that even if I could use flash would not have helped me one bit. It just goes to show that things always work out and the couple always walks away married. These two were such a dream not a worry in the air just love and peace. How grateful I am for clients who take it all in stride and let me be a part of such blessed events in their lives.Thursday, September 24, 2009
Meghan and Andrew
I got to try a new location at this wedding. When I first met with Meghan and Andrew we went over a couple of spots for the pictures with their wedding party. We chose this awesome site by a working mill. I have been anxiously awaiting the event ever since. We walked up to the mill and we were a little dismayed to see construction, which made it appear that we may not be able to shoot....but the men trekked ahead and we found the way in. We got some awesome shots and if anyone gets married out this way I will definitely want to try it again. Thanks guys for showing something new and sharing your special day with me.Monday, September 21, 2009
Nikki
Nikki and I really sweated this one out. We shot these Friday after a week of raining. Then on Friday it rained it seemed up til the minute. We watched the radar's, checked chances and prayed for a break then we just barely got it. She was a trooper and gave up on shooting at Old Salem (the chance of rain was lower in Durham) and went for my recommendation of Duke Gardens. I think we did pretty good. Thanks Nikki for being such a dream to work with, you are quite the beauty!Thursday, September 17, 2009
JNJ
These guys were so easy. I ran out of idea's like an hour because they did them all perfect the first time everytime. It also helped that we had an amazing day and my sweet light. Oh, and holy crow look at her eyes I have never seen a green so deep and rich. You guys know how I like eyes. I am in love with my own pictures. I know I am so full of myself but when you get perfection there isn't much more than you can do than perfect! From the mountains to the City
I love my job I get to travel all over and see everyone's different dreams come true. Kelly and Brandon had such a beautiful service and a party to beat all parties afterward. Then to top it off they are an amazing couple! Thanks guys you are awesome and I wish you many more years of happiness and love to come!
